Saint Apache New EP: Wolf Machine

Scott Burchfield reviews the new E.P. 'Wolf Machine' from Saint Apache.

Saint Apache have just released their new EP: 'Wolf Machine'. A well produced rock album, featuring an element of fuzz rock, this album reminds me a bit of Wolfmother but with an angry edge. Up beat but still aggressive is a hard thing to achieve bit these guys hit the spot.

Formed in the spring of 2015, Saint Apache are a four piece rock band from the south coast. Kerrang! Journalist Alex Baker described the as; ' 'A band that sound like they've grabbed Rage Against The Machine, The Gallows & Queens of the Stone Age. Stuck them all in a cocktail shaker. Thrown in some hot sauce and pulled that delicious concoction into a pint glass of musical fury'

The beats and melody of the album seam to have an almost funky feel to them while still having the alt-rock sound familiar to fans of Saint Apache.

Although it is almost too easy to compare them to the other south coast rockers Royal Blood, but without any disrespect to Royal Blood, I think these guys have that little something extra with their political driven vocals and lead guitar lines which are subtly reminiscent of Slash or Jimmy page.

The rest of the band also fit well into the mix and with this great sounding EP you can see why they were featured on Kerrang and BBC introducing.

'Wolf Machine' is available now from the iTunes store:
